Dr Oluyemisi Bob-Efeovbokhan
MBBS
Dr Yemisi completed her MBBS degree in 2007 and commenced fulltime work in general practice the following year.
She relocated to Australia from Lagos in 2010, along with her husband, to pursue a dual Masters’ degree in public health and health management.
She worked briefly in health research, exploring her interest in this area while completing the bridging exams required to commence clinical practice in Australia.
She also completed a Diploma in Child Health during this time.
Her other clinical interests include women's health and psychiatry.
Dr Yemisi loves working in general practice due to the variety and challenge each new patient brings, the opportunity to form lifelong therapeutic relationships with patients and their families that span many generations, and the often lovely, sometimes hilarious people she gets to encounter each day.
She and her husband are blessed with three children, and when they are not hanging out together as a family or with friends, she loves to write, work on craft or play soccer.
