Dr Sruthi Ambur
Originally from India, she worked as a Respiratory Physician in Bangalore before moving to Australia in 2013 along with her family.
In Australia, Sruthi worked for a year at the Launceston General Hospital and then moved to Melbourne. She worked for a year as a Panel physician at Bupa Medical Visa services prior to moving to Canberra.
She loves spending quality time with her children. She also likes watching Indian movies and travelling with her family.
Dr Hash Mir
Dr Hashmatullah (Hash) Mir completed his MBBS in 2006 and worked in general medicine until 2011.
Relocated to Australia from Afghanistan in July 2011. He speaks English, Farsi (Dari), Pashto and Persian.
He has worked on Migrant and Refugee settlement services as a case manager for refugees until 2015 during this period prepared for AMC exams and studied diploma of nursing.
Dr Hash has worked in Australian medical system since begging of 2019.
He loves working in general practice due to long term therapeutic relationship with patients and the variety of presentations in General Practice. Joined RACGP training mid 2022 and since then has been working in Gundagai Medical Centre and also occasionally covering Gundagai District Hospital as a VMO.
He enjoys running and playing soccer as a hobby.
Dr Ahmed Synousi
Dr Synousi has over 15 years of Acute and Emergency medical experience in Australia.
He obtained his medical degree from Cairo University in 2004 and gained his early medical experience serving in Cairo’s busiest and most prestigious public teaching hospitals before migrating to Australia in 2008.
In addition to his work in General Practice, Dr Synousi also works as an Emergency doctor at Queanbeyan Hospital.
When he’s not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending quality time with his 4 kids and wife who is also a doctor. Dr Synousi is also fluent in Arabic.
Dr Wahab
Dr Wahab has been practising as a GP in Australia since 2011, primarily in the Canberra region. Prior to this he worked in Bangladesh and New Zealand after graduating from Dhaka University in Bangladesh in 1991.
While enjoying all aspects of General Practice, his special interests include general medicine, paediatrics, men’s health, chronic disease and mental health (he worked as a Registrar in the Mental Health Unit at The Canberra Hospital for 6 years).
Dr Wahab also sees occupational health conditions including work related injuries.
Outside of his clinical life, he enjoys, cricket, community and multicultural activities, and travelling – when Covid permits!
Dr Oluyemisi Bob-Efeovbokhan
MBBS
Dr Yemisi completed her MBBS degree in 2007 and commenced fulltime work in general practice the following year.
She relocated to Australia from Lagos in 2010, along with her husband, to pursue a dual Masters’ degree in public health and health management.
She worked briefly in health research, exploring her interest in this area while completing the bridging exams required to commence clinical practice in Australia.
She also completed a Diploma in Child Health during this time.
Her other clinical interests include women's health and psychiatry.
Dr Yemisi loves working in general practice due to the variety and challenge each new patient brings, the opportunity to form lifelong therapeutic relationships with patients and their families that span many generations, and the often lovely, sometimes hilarious people she gets to encounter each day.
She and her husband are blessed with three children, and when they are not hanging out together as a family or with friends, she loves to write, work on craft or play soccer.
Hong
Registered Nurse
Hong graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing from Sydney University in 2017. Following her graduation, she has spent the last two years as the Practice Nurse at a GP and Skin Cancer clinic on the NSW Central Coast. During this time Hong completed further studies including completing a Certificate of Diabetes in Practice for Nurses and a Certificate in Immunisation.
Hong has recently moved to the Canberra region to further her studies at the University of Canberra where she undertaking Masters in Public Health.
Hong is also fluent in Vietnamese.
Hong enjoys travelling and reading.
